At more than one time in our life we are all faced with the need to ask for help. It’s one of those things that independent minded people find hard to do.

One of the things about being a programmer that I like is that my job is about helping people. Whether it is building a piece of software to automate a task or answering questions on how to use it.

When I need help with a problem my first step is to Google the problem. Chances are someone has asked the question and on a technology discussion site such as StackOverflow the question has been answered. If you can’t find the answer to your question you can ask and a community of people who are there to help will get back to you. Just make sure you are very thorough in describing your problem.

In this day and age technology has never brought us closer to getting help then in this day and age. I can help someone across the country or across the planet. If you need my help let me know.
